The story and song, I think would create an incredibly powerful movie with the proper soundtrack, cinematic sequences, and compelling acting. I haven't done his story justice here so I encourage you to look for it. The post itself, word for word, has been re-posted on multiple sites that you can Google for by searching his name. Tragically, David Higgs committed suicide to the song and while he was overdosing he detailed the entire story on 4chan. He forgave her the first time but then she left him for that same person. They dated for awhile afterwards but caught her cheating during a college party. He apparently met the love of his life after transferring to a new high school and made his first bold move (kissing her) on a rooftop during a high school trip to that song.
After some research I found a story about a 4chan post from someone named David Higgs.
I think about 10 years ago I started noticing that each of the YouTube posts of the song started including (RIP David Higgs) at the end of the title and I became curious as to who David Higgs was. It's an incredibly beautiful song I've known for close to 15 years now. One of my favorite songs of all time is 'I'm God' by Clams Casino. I'd like to give background before I give the story.
